The Charlottetown Mark's Work Wearhouse Islanders defeated the 1st Place Moncton Mark's Work Werhouse Flyers 6 - 4 at the MacLauchlan Arena Sunday Afternoon. Each team scored two first period goals with Daniel Muise and Harry Wood on the powerplay connecting for the Islanders while Nick Smith and Ben Tucker shorthanded connected for Moncton. Each team had 11 shots in the period. The Islanders had the only two goals in the second by Harrison Wood, his second of the game and Brandon Weir. The Flyers forward Rejean Martin scored at 53 seconds of the third on the powerplay before Blake Millman restored the Islanders two goal lead at 4:01. Jordan Murray brought the Flyers within one again at 17:23 before Brandon Weir sealed the victory with an empty net goal at 19:37. Craig Dougan 2, Cody Coffin 2, Jeremy Balderston 2, Max MacDonald, Craig MacLauchlan, Ryan Kelly, Harrison Wood and Jordan McInnis had helpers for the Islanders. Jordan Murray 2, Alexandre LeBlanc, Joslin Gallant, Matt LeBlanc and Shane Dallaire had assists for Moncton. Ryan Deagle got the win in goal for the Islanders stopping 33 of 37 while Scott Cale was charged with the loss.
