The Islanders ended their stay at the Gatineau Kiwanis Tournament with a 3 - 2 overtime loss to the Ottawa 67's. Jordan McInnis opened the scoring at 7:08 of the first period assisted by Harrison Wood and Craig Dougan. Taylor armstrong tied the game at 1 - 1 assisted by Daniel Abraham at 8:26 to close out the first period scoring. Benjamin Hartley put the 67's ahead 2 - 1 at 2:53 of the second period with a shorthanded goal assisted by Gurmanjot Bhullar. The 67's held the lead ubtil Jeremy Balderston sprung Cody Coffin on a breakaway at 16:26 of the third. Cleve McNeill also picked up an assist on the goal. The 67's forward Taylor Widenmaier scored the winner at 7:08 of overtime blasting a passout from Brougham Philip and Alexander Barron past Islanders goalie Stephen Miller for the winning goal. The Islanders outshot the 67's 33 - 29 in the contest. Jordan McInnis was picked as the Islanders game star while Widenmaier was the 67's game star.
