The Islanders lost 4 - 2 to the Fredericton Canadians Friday Night in O'Leary and 3 - 1 to the St. John Vitos at the LBR on Saturday afternoon.
Fredericton was led by Brett Barnhill 1+2, Peter Trainor 1+1, Alex Murray 1+0, Paul Comeau 1+0 and Zack Foster 0+2. The Islanders got goals from Craig Dougan and Blake Millman with single assists credited to Carson Trainor, Jordan McInnis, Ryan Kelly and Daniel Muise.
The teams were scoreless after the first and tied 1 - 1 after the second. The Islanders outshot the Canadians 37 - 31.
In Sunday's game at the LBR Brandon Gaudet opened the scoring at the 39 second mark of the second period assisted by Jeremy Balderston and Daniel Muise followed by two goals by the Vitos at 1:45 and 5:50 by Ryan Langan and an assurance marker by Dylan Jones at 16:49. Jamie Bishop, Scott Fenwick and Greg Edgecombe each contributed one assist. The Vitos outshot the Islanders 35 - 16.
