The Islanders earned their 4th Win of the Season with a 2 - 0 Road Win against the Cornwall Thunder Wednesday Night at the APM Centre. The Teams played a scoreless first two periods with Thunder goaltendr Dylan McQuaid and Islanders keeper Stephen Miller each making some outstanding saves with the Islanders outshooting the Thunder 21 - 19 after two periods. The 3rd period started off the same way until a Thunder forward took a roughing after the whistle penalty and Islanders forward Cody Coffin scored the games first goal just as the penalty ended on a perfect pass from behind the net from Jeremy Balderston. Islanders forward Craig Dougan assisted by linemates Craig MacxLauchlan and Jordan McInnis at 14:15 scored the insurance marker getting to a lose puck in the slot to beat McQuaid and close out the scoring. The Islanders outshot the Thunder 15 - 9 in the third and 36 - 28 overall.
